Hello Friends,
A lazy day in Park City as it is a somewhat overcast, chilly day. I ran to Home Depot to get some supplies as I will be moving from my condo which I rent to a newly purchased home. One more step to becoming head local is local ownership. Home Depot has some great prices due to the slowdown in the homebuilding sector.
Upon returning home I watched The 11th Hour while doing an hour of yoga. Cleansing my mind for the week ahead while watching a movie about the end of our species and due to human error, the end of lots of other species as well. Just as I recently heard Jane Goodall speaking about deforestation, it is hard to be pessimistic regarding our society and future when you see films such as The 11th Hour. The film is produced and narrated by Leonard DiCaprio.
One theme of the movie is being proud about where you live and take the necessary action to promote the well being of your community. That is a major goal of Locals Have More Fun and its plan to be a major force in educating communities about their choices when it comes to sustainable living. It is this exact reason that Locals has joined 1% For The Planet so it can distribute a portion of its sales to various organizations in a multitude of locations.
So for the Head Local, it is a day of watching the Penguins finish off the Rangers and move on to meet the Flyers. It is also a day to finish my weekend agenda of Locals Have More Fun paper work.
Have a great day!
Brian
